Following the appointments of Chief Commercial Officer Damon Walford and Chief Financial Officer Steve Morgan, CrowdProperty is pleased to announce that Ian McManus has joined the business as Chief Technology Officer.

Ian has a proven track record of 20 years’ success in delivering disruptive, complex, technical projects through all stages of software platform delivery in both the US and the UK.

Ian has previously held a number of senior roles in innovative technology businesses across the UK and US including:

  • Group Chief Technology Officer at Dining Alliance, where he oversaw several technology teams and managed offshore teams as Dining Alliance made software acquisitions while going through a period of rapid expansion;
  • Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer of FreshRealm, which saw him grow a FoodTech business from concept to $40m valuation in under 18 months;
  • Chief Consultant at InBlaq Consulting, consulting on Blockchain technologies to disrupt the food traceability space in the US by providing farm-to-table visibility; and
  • CTO of Lateral Technology, a Fintech Software company in the UK, helping to oversee team expansion overseas and continuous improvement in process and product.

Michael Bristow, CEO of CrowdProperty, commented: “Ian is a strategic technology evangelist with a history of driving innovation, delivering technical excellence and bringing compelling, intuitive experiences to the user – values which align with the existing innovative and customer-centric FinTech / PropTech approach that contributes to CrowdProperty’s market leading status. “Whilst the property expertise at the heart of the business is core to our offering, we’re increasingly being recognised for the innovative technology solutions that we bring to property project funding. In the last 18 months, we’ve won Overall Residential Real Estate Lender of the Year at the PropTech Breakthrough Awards, ranked #11 in the PropTech 50 (the UK’s most innovative property technology creating firms), and been named as the highest-growth technology business in the Midlands region in the Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50. “The experience Ian brings in mentoring, coaching and motivating technical teams to successfully deliver products which make a real-world difference is very exciting in terms of both process efficiency and customer experience improvements that we are planning to continuously advance our services.”

Ian McManus added: “It’s great to see the recognition CrowdProperty has already received for its FinTech/PropTech credentials - I look forward to continuing to drive forward this award-winning tech strategy. The business is growing at a phenomenal rate, due in part to the digital processes and systems that are in place which enable key business efficiencies. The focus on continuous improvement of the customer experience on both sides of the market through a data-learning, tech-enabled, analytics and expertise-driven approach is to be expected from disruptive businesses with innovative cultures like CrowdProperty and I very much look forward to collaborating with the team on this.”
