Despite the UK going into recession, it appears lockdown encouraged buyers to re-evaluate their needs and accentuated pent-up demand after years of historically low transaction volumes which has resulted in the strongest housing market activity since 2015. However, views from the market are suggesting that the pick-up in activity is unsustainable and economic recovery may be starting to dwindle.
